Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Facility type: LTC/SNF Location: Norristown, PA 19401 Duration: 13 Weeks contract with possible extension Shift Timings: 8:00am 4:30pm Pay rate: $42/hr on W2 Pay Period: Weekly
Job Description:
- To apply physical therapy assistant procedures and modalities to patients to assist patients to achieve functional goals under the direction of qualified physical therapists.
- To follow established procedures pertaining to maintenance, adjustment, assembly and disassembly of physical therapy equipment.
- To perform procedures related to patient treatment and documentation in medical records.
- To assist with transfer of patients related to therapeutic exercise and physical therapy procedures, and to be responsible for the safety and care of patients assigned by a physical therapist or medical staff.
- The patient population includes a combination of physical disabilities, ventilator dependent, and those with mental health diagnoses.
