Registered Nurse RN Med Imaging IR

Position Summary This nursing position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The role is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under direction, utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and provide appropriate care based on the patient’s physical and developmental age. Responsibilities Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review patient history and physical, diagnostics, laboratory data, and other healthcare team information within the appropriate timeframe. Formulate a patient‑specific plan of care, including the discharge plan, based on assessment data and input from the patient, family, and health team; establish realistic, measurable goals and revise plans as needed. Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team; provide care in compliance with policies, procedures, standards of care, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate the patient’s and family’s response to care and teaching; revise the plan of care and evaluate progress toward goals in collaboration with the health team. Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record with legible, timely records that reflect objective/subjective data, nursing interventions, and patient responses. Provide evidence‑based care and may participate in research activities within clinical practice; contribute to unit or facility shared leadership and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors. Contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes; actively participate in nursing quality improvement and professional organizations. In some roles, supervise staff and manage workflow of the department. Interact with all staff levels, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts (e.g., community providers, clergy) to report and clarify information and provide spiritual support. Qualifications Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the state of practice. BLS certification required; additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice. Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with current working experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Experience in a Clinical Area (ICU, ER, CVICU, or MI experience) or within a medical imaging department specific to the position. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area of work through annual validations. For Home Health positions, ability to operate a personal vehicle, possession of a valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance coverage. For specified behavioral health roles, an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, plus an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit on hire. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
