Technical Qualifications:

• General knowledge and proficiency in computer processing of information and use of various office computer applications. Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Accounting Degree required
• General understanding of accounting principles and governmental fund accounting
• Analytical aptitude
• CPA and payroll experience a plus but not required.

General Function: 

Primary responsibilities will be working with the Finance Director on the annual municipal budget. Preparation of certain financial information for the annual Village audit. This position will report directly to the Village Comptroller and is expected to provide some supervision of the finance staff primarily accounts payable and cash receipts.

Will include bank account reconciliations, ability to analyze financial records including general ledger. Ability to understand processing capability of accounting software including accounts payable, payroll, cash receipts, general ledger, and utility billing.

• Perform all job duties in compliance with the established rules and regulations of the Administration Offices and the Village of Lansing.

Salary Range:

Range from $65,000 to $75,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
