About the Position

Job Title: Stepdown RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or Stepdown experience required License: SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Must have ICU and/or Stepdown experience Description: Position/Specialty: Stepdown RN Shift: 3x12s, Days, 7a-7p with holiday rotation Patient ratios: 1:4 Weekend requirement: Yes, every other weekend On-call requirement: No Floating requirement: Yes, as per facility needs First-time travelers accepted: Yes, with prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience Additional certifications preferred: NIHSS Special requirements: Must have ICU and/or Stepdown experience Travelers should be aware of hurricane season that runs from June through November. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during this period. Approval for any block schedule should be requested prior to assignment, but it is not guaranteed. Facility allows for calling off one shift every two weeks. All time off must be included at the time of submission. Any candidate that has 7 or more days of time off will need facility approval. Please ensure candidates do not have any time off that will prevent them from completing pre-start compliance on time for the proposed start date. Modules are non-billable and average 4 hours spent on modules. Module hours are included in NBO hours and should be completed prior to starting.
