ABOUT SELA Sela is the market-leading AI voice agent for mortgage lenders. Founded in 2024, we've grown like crazy (~$0 to $13M in annualized revenue in 20 months), and currently count 5 of the 10 largest independent mortgage banks in the U.S. as enterprise customers. If we're successful, the cost of owning a home in the US will become ~1% cheaper. We've raised $21M across our Seed and Series A from top investors, including a $15M Series A in June 2026. We're a team of 15 and planning to hire ~40 people over the next 12 months across engineering, product, and go-to-market. Product-market fit is a crazy feeling, and the next 12 months will be even crazier. THE ROLE Sela's AI voice agents hold real conversations with real people, on behalf of some of the largest mortgage lenders in the country — around 600,000 calls a day. Our agents are critical to our customers’ businesses and you'll be the connective tissue between Sela and our customers. You’ll cover everything from the nitty gritty details (what happened on this particular call?) to proactive outreach when you see anomalies in performance (looks like you haven’t answered any transfers in the last hour, do we need to adjust your availability today?). And, you’ll help build the systems to scale these customer communications as we grow. This is a hands-on, detail-heavy role, not a coordination role. No prior experience in tech or AI is required, but you should be genuinely excited to learn a technical product inside and out. WHAT YOU'LL OWN The changes that make agents better — learning how a lender actually operates, then reshaping their agents around it: the language, the edge cases, the moments a call should hand off to a human Day-to-day customer communications — answering questions, flagging issues, and keeping customers in the loop on what we're doing about it Troubleshooting customer requests, working with engineering and product to get real answers, not just an acknowledgment Building and maintaining custom dashboards and reporting that give customers (and us) a clear read on performance Monitoring accounts proactively, catching issues before they turn into escalations Building the systems to scale your impact as we continue to grow WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-haves: A clear, effective communicator with real polish — you can deliver good news, bad news, and everything in between without losing a customer's trust Detail-oriented, almost to a fault — you'll need to know the product inside and out, and small things matter to you Good data intuition — you don't need to be a SQL expert (Cursor can help with that!), but you should be comfortable looking at a dataset and knowing what it's telling you A real willingness to learn — no prior experience in tech or AI is required, but you should want to go deep on a technical product Nice-to-haves: Experience in a customer-facing role (hospitality, support, account management, retail, or similar)-- we’re especially excited about candidates trained in high-touch retail environments.
