Field Service Technician

Field Service TechnicianAir Specialty and Equipment is one of the largest air compressor distributors in Texas. We are seeking an experienced individual, who has worked in an industrial or manufacturing environment, to fill the position of Field Service Technician for the San Antonio, TX area.Responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing and installing Air Compressors and Rotating Equipment while also gaining knowledge and experience with industrial air compressors and other compressed air equipment. You will also be responsible for the up-keep of all company trucks, and communicate with the Technical Department regularly to find solutions.Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain rotary screw/reciprocating air compressors and various types of air dryersPerform diagnostics and determine causes for failures on air compressor systems equipmentPerform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting of factory standard controls. Provide equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performanceConsult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairsDocument all service checklist and associated formsStrong respect for safety practices and demonstrates the use of necessary PPE and other safety devicesClean jobsite to a degree that it is in better condition than when arriving onsiteCandidate must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.Requirements4-5+ years field service experience requiredPrevious compressed air experience requiredValid driver's licenseStrong mechanical and electrical backgroundExperience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing commercial and industrial compressors and dryers desiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsHas own tools necessary to complete job (basic hand tools, multi-meter, thermal gun)
