Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driving Role in Corning, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support site operations with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting contractor and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while working collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
