Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Watch in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial services location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns. Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for employees, visitors, and vendors, helping to support established access control practices for a professional financial environment. Maintain readiness for an armed post by following post orders, handling assigned equipment in accordance with policy, and reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or procedural concerns to Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree. An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
