About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Direct Support Professional BHA to join our SPIN Team. As a Direct Support Professional BHA, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals with behavioral health needs in a compassionate and professional manner. Your main goal will be to assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure that the highest level of care is provided to the people we support. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for helping others. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Driver's license with at least one year of driving experience Must be available to attend the 3 week hourly paid-training program during the hours of 8am-5pm Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with dual diagnosis Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Working experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care and positive behavioral support approaches Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral health needs Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment Ensure that all care is provided in accordance with industry standards and best practices Skills As a Direct Support Professional BHA, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with the people we support and their families. You will also use your problem‑solving and critical thinking skills to develop and implement individualized care plans. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in providing the highest level of care to people we support. Additionally, your experience working in a behavioral health arrangement and with individuals with developmental disabilities and co‑occurring disorders will be invaluable in this role.
