Food and Beverage Supervisor

Job Summary Snack Bar Lead – Catering. Under general direction, the employee may assume the lead role and provide general supervision of catered events. Responsibilities Review and maintain event records; participate in meetings and discussions; plan and organize catered events. Serve food, provide excellent customer service, and perform event follow-up activities. Maintain catering equipment and Dining Services facilities. Requisition products and equipment; coordinate product pick‑up and delivery. Direct other food service employees; maintain safety and sanitation standards. Perform event follow‑up activities; maintain inventories of catering supplies, dishes, utensils, and related items. Working Hours 40 hours per week. Two consecutive days off. Daily hours may vary; weekends and evenings may be scheduled. Evening shift eligible for shift premium. Qualifications One year experience in high volume or institutional food preparation and serving. High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver’s License. Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach supportive of the needs of students, faculty, staff, and the public. Preferred Qualifications One year of college or university food service experience. One year of catering experience. One year of fine dining experience. Physical Demands Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Additional Requirements Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available. All new employees must comply with EWU Immunization Policy 602‑02 and provide proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR before beginning work.
