We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in leading teams, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering exceptional service to our winery partners.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, safety, and exceptional customer service. This role leads a team of warehouse personnel, manages inventory control, coordinates inbound and outbound logistics, and works closely with office staff and winery clients to ensure smooth operations.

This is not a desk-only management position. The ideal candidate is a leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves, work alongside the team, and set the standard for performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:
Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
Ensure all outbound orders are processed accurately and on schedule.
Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Monitor workflow and staffing levels to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Team Leadership:
Lead, train, coach, and develop warehouse staff.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development.

Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records and cycle count programs.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage and handling of wine and winery materials.
Coordinate physical inventories and audits.

Client Service:
Work closely with winery clients to meet fulfillment and inventory needs.
Coordinate special projects such as:
Hand labeling
Waxing and foiling
Tissue wrapping
Custom packaging
Repack and relabel projects
Maintain Sherwin Wine Services' high standards for accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety procedures.
Ensure proper operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:
Required:
3+ years of warehouse management experience.
Experience supervising warehouse teams.
Strong inventory management and warehouse operations background.
Forklift Experience (Certification NOT Required to Apply).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.

Preferred:
Experience with Fort Systems Warehouse Software.
Experience in wine, beverage, food distribution, or fulfillment operations.
Experience with warehouse management software and inventory systems.
Knowledge of direct-to-consumer (DTC) fulfillment operations.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
