Recruiting for this role ends on 9/11/2026 Work You’ll Do As a Lead Agentic Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:Lead the design, implementation, deployment, and support of AI/ML, analytics, automation, and generative AI solutions for client programsTranslate business and functional requirements into technical plans, solution components, and production-ready workflowsOversee the development of data pipelines, model integration, validation processes, and other scalable technical assetsManage delivery workstreams and guide teams in using Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and modern data tools to solve business problemsDefine and monitor KPIs related to solution quality, model performance, data health, adoption, and business impactMentor junior practitioners and partner with client and internal stakeholders to drive execution, communicate progress and risks, and promote responsible, repeatable delivery practices The Team Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes – is designed for impact. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a technical field6+ years of experience architecting, designing, building, testing, and deploying production, operational, or client-facing technology solutions in software engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, quality engineering, or software development life cycle (SDLC) delivery roles6+ years of experience developing applications, services, or automation using one or more programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, or Java3+ years of experience leading code reviews, reviewing technical deliverables for alignment with documented requirements, and mentoring or providing day-to-day technical guidance to junior engineers3+ years of experience building, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)1+ years of experience architecting, building, deploying, or supporting generative artificial intelligence (AI), large language model (LLM), or agentic application solutions in production, enterprise, or client-facing environments1+ years of experience implementing LLM orchestration, prompt workflows, tool use or function calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or multi-agent workflows in application deliveryAbility to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Preferred: Master's degreeGovernment consulting experience1+ years of experience integrating model platforms or application programming interfaces (APIs), including OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or Google Vertex AI, into enterprise applications or workflows1+ years of experience establishing evaluation, testing, monitoring, or guardrail mechanisms for generative AI or agentic systems, including output quality, reliability, latency, or safety controls1+ years of experience implementing containerization, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code, or deployment automation1+ years of experience leading delivery in Agile environments, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint execution, and iterative release delivery The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,000 to $252,500. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
