Certified Surg Tech Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Must-Have: - BLS Certification - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Certificate Description: The position requires a Surgical Technologist to work in the Operating Room. The call schedule is variable. On-call duties include 1 shift per week for 8 hours during the weekdays and 8 hours during the weekends. Shifts may include 0630-1500, 1500-2300, and 2300-0700. Common cases include Trauma, Orthopedic, Vascular, and General surgeries. The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment. Charting is performed using the Cerner system. Candidates should have experience working in an acute care setting.
