Per Diem Nurse - Infusion Clinic (Float - Santa Clarita & Mission Hills)

Position Summary City of Hope is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Clinics, floating between Santa Clarita and Mission Hills. In this vital role, you will focus on the delivery of chemotherapy and comprehensive care to cancer patients, providing support, education, and a compassionate touch throughout their treatment journey. Per diem, 8‑hour shifts. Minimum one shift per week. Clinic hours Monday‑Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Responsibilities Patient assessment and care planning – assess patients’ health status, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence‑based care protocols. Chemotherapy administration – administer chemotherapy and other medications according to prescribed treatment regimens. Vital signs monitoring – continuously monitor vital signs and symptoms during infusion treatments, and respond promptly to changes or adverse reactions. Patient education and support – provide comprehensive education to patients and families, and help them understand treatment options, side effects, and self‑care measures. Coordination of care – collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate follow‑up appointments and supportive services, ensuring a seamless patient experience. Management of side effects – assist patients in managing side effects and complications arising from cancer treatment. Qualifications Associate degree in nursing. Three or more years of RN experience (eligible for RN III) – per diem flat rate $75.47 hr. Current California Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Valid ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card.
