Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Office Floater to join our busy medical practice team. This position is NOT entry level. We are specifically seeking someone with experience in BOTH Front Desk and Medical Assistant duties including Phlebotomy who can comfortably assist wherever needed throughout the office.ResponsibilitiesPrevious medical office experience REQUIREDGreet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processesSchedule appointments efficiently while managing multi-line phone system and maintaining an organized front desk areaVerify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization and Medicare billing procedures, including medical collection effortsMaintain meticulous medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (AdvancedMD knowledge is a plus), ensure compliance with HIPAA regulationsSupport administrative duties like data entry using Microsoft Office tools, managing office supplies, and handling patient inquiries with excellent phone etiquetteSkillsStrong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing proceduresExcellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectivelyPrior medical office experience is mandatory in both Front Desk and Medical Assistant Assistant responsibilities including rooming patients including vital signsMust be able to draw bloodMust be reliable, organized, and team-orientedMust be comfortable floating between clinical and administrative tasks as neededJoin us in making a difference by delivering compassionate care while supporting the operational excellence of our healthcare facility.
