Charter Steel is Hiring in Production on Nights 26.50/hr + $2,000 Hiring Bonus!

• Weekly paychecks -  Get paid every Thursday!

Billet Conditioner: -0RwrI

Finishing Operator:

If you’re the kind of person who isn’t afraid of heat, hard work, and doing the job right, we’ve got a place for you. At Charter Steel in Saukville, WI, we melt, pour, and shape the steel that keeps America moving — and we’re looking for dependable people who want to be part of that process.

Billet Conditioner (Melting Department) | 4:30pm-4:30am | $26.50/hr

• Rotate through different positions throughout 12-hour shift.

• Use power tools to remove kerf from billets.

• Apply ID tags using a welding torch and mark billets with chalk.

• Place chains and spacer bars between billets

• Perform quality inspections

• Operate an overhead crane

• Frequent walking, standing, push/pull, and lifting up to 35 lbs.

• Rotating 5-2-2-5 Schedule. 12 hour shifts. 5 nights on, 2 off, 2 on, 5 off!

Finishing Operator (Rolling Department) | 6pm-6am | $26.50/hr

• Rotate through several positions during shift.
• Operate conveyors & compactor
• Trim front and back of coils.
• Assist with mill size changes, including roll changes.
• Operate a forklift

• Frequent walking, standing, push/pull, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Some lifting up to 75lbs

• Rotating 5-2-2-5 Schedule. 12 hour shifts. 5 nights on, 2 off, 2 on, 5 off!

What You Bring:

• A high school diploma or GED (we can help through our FREE GEDWorks program)

• Comfortable with basic math (like counting and simple calculations).

• Team player who works well and communicates with others

• Background in manufacturing or industrial production, assembly, warehouse, welding, construction, metals, steel, or other hands on jobs

• Forklift & Overhead Crane experience is a plus!

• Strong safe work mindset
