Field Service Tech

Contract Technician

The position is currently a 90-day contract-to-hire. Candidates need to live in the Venice/North Port/Port Charlotte FL area. Candidates should be pre-screened to confirm that they fit the below requirements listed. Strong hardware break-fix experience. LaserJet break fix experience. The transition rate upon full-time hire to CompuCom will be $19 - $20 for entry-level technicians. Please make sure you set that expectation upfront. There is an on call rotation after 60 days, we do work on Saturday when on call but have a day off during the week.

Need 1 resource to perform Break & Fix work during 90-day contract-to-hire

Candidate must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLA's)

Technician will travel to each client's location, 20-100 miles per day

Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs Desktop, Laptop, Server and Printer

Works under general supervision

There will be overtime

Minimum Requirements:

TOP required skills: Hardware skills, Printer breakfix skills, field experience
3 years plus supporting Desktops, Laptops, and Printers.
3 years plus of customer service experience
Reliable Transportation (This is a driving position reimbursed accordingly)
Able to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekends
Personable as they will be interacting with a wide range of users and environments
Can work on a ladder of lift and are able to lift up to 50lbs.
After training is complete, candidate will be added to the on call rotation 7x24

Basic Needs/Haves:

Able to work from a bent, crouched, or kneeled position
Smartphone with tethering/hot spot capabilities (Reimbursed within Corporate Guidelines)
Laptop
Basic Hand Tools
Possess a valid driver's license

Preferred, NOT REQUIRED:

CompTIA A+
OEM Printer Warranty Certifications
OEM Laptop/Desktop Warranty Certifications
Server experience would be nice
Min exp 3 years in following Desktop Break/Fix Experience Deskside Support Experience Field Technician Dispatch Experience Laptop Break/Fix Experience Networking Experience Printer Break/Fix Experience Server Break/Fix Experience
