Controls Engineer I (Nights)

Baxter seeks a Controls Engineer I for night-shift manufacturing operations in Marion, North Carolina. The role involves developing control solutions, conducting equipment validation, troubleshooting systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support life-science manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control solutions for manufacturing processes and equipment
- Conduct equipment validation testing, data analysis, and technical troubleshooting
- Participate in continuous improvement and change control activities
- Support regulatory compliance efforts and investigate nonconformances
- Coordinate with internal and external teams on new product and equipment implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics preferred)
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and HMI systems
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices
- Hands-on electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with automation platforms such as robotics or vision systems
Compensation: $76,000 - $104,500 base annually
