You'll combine technical leadership, business partnership, and people development to help shape decisions, solve complex challenges, and advance Aviva's data science capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to influence how one of Canada's leading insurers applies AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to solve real business challenges at scale.If you're passionate about building high-performing teams, turning data into action, and creating meaningful business impact, we'd love to hear from you.What you’ll do:Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of leaders, data scientists, and analysts, creating an environment where people can grow, collaborate, and do their best work.Drive the development, enhancement, and deployment of advanced pricing models, machine learning solutions, and predictive analytics capabilities.Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where data science can improve customer outcomes, business performance, and operational effectiveness.Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that influence business decisions.Oversee model governance, validation, monitoring, and ongoing performance to ensure models remain effective, reliable, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.Champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies, analytical techniques, and industry best practices.Work closely with Pricing, Actuarial, Risk, Technology, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.Drive adoption of analytical tools, models, and insights across the business to maximize value and measurable impact.Help shape priorities, allocate resources, and deliver key initiatives that support business objectives.Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture that encourages curiosity, continuous learning, and diverse perspectives.
