Job Posting TitleJanitorJob Description SummaryOur Fort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a reliable and diligent Janitor to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for our employees and visitors.Job Description:Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces in offices, restrooms, common areas, and production floors.Empty trash cans and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and restock supplies as needed.Clean and maintain breakroom and kitchen areas, including wiping down counters, sinks, and appliances.Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and pressure washers.Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to management.Follow all safety protocols and company policies.Assist with setting up and tearing down for meetings or events as required.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Required Skills and EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar cleaning role is a plus.Ability to handle basic cleaning tasks and operate relevant equipment.Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.Effective communication skills.About Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
