Indirect Report: Principal, Faculty, or Staff, Hokulani Elementary School

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee students during morning recess to ensure safety and positive engagement.
• Monitor behavior in the cafeteria at lunch, fostering a respectful environment.
• Assist teachers with smooth transitions between lunch, recess, and classrooms.
• Support office personnel with clerical tasks to enhance communication and organization.

Requirements

• Current Chaminade student
• Federal Work-Study eligibility through Chaminade
• 2.0 GPA or higher (must maintain)

Physical Requirements

This position may involve light physical activity in both indoor and outdoor settings. Successful candidates should be comfortable alternating between standing and sitting, as well as navigating stairs and sloped walkways. They should also be comfortable lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Strong motor skills and clear, effective communication are essential.

Other Requirements

• This is a part-time, non-exempt employment position. Successful candidates may work up to 19 hours per week; however, employment is on an as-needed basis. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to a varied schedule are essential.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and university procedures. Promptly report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries in accordance with established guidelines.
• Comply with all university policies and procedures, which are available at or through the employee SharePoint portal.
