The Workforce Readiness Manager will partner with site leadership and human resources to ensure operational stability by accelerating operator progression resulting in a talent pipeline of experienced operators and own the overall training and developments plan for the site.Primary Functions & Essential Responsibilities: Lead the overall training and learning strategy for the Hopewell site and develop training programs for employees designed to give employees the knowledge and capability to meet the specific organizational goals efficiently and effectively.Plans & AlignsDevelop a strategy to mitigate risk to both short and long-term operational stability by accelerating operator training progression by reducing the cycle time around operators becoming fully qualifiedOperate with a continuous improvement mindset to elevate current training processes and materials to enhance operating knowledge and the cause and effect/troubleshooting components of each role within an operations area.Evaluate the skills of the current workforce and leverage data and 80/20 principles to identify and prioritize efforts ensuring appropriate resourcing and efforts to address critical skills/qualifications gapsDevelop and standardize training and progression KPIs for the site designed to monitor progress and resultsEnsure appropriate plans are in place to ensure the site has the necessary skills in order to meet long-term growth goalsManage the overall learning plan for the site and partner with site and functional leaders to effectively manage internal and regulatory requirementsChange Leadership and InnovationDrive continuous improvement efforts around training and development by leveraging appropriate technology and lean practices to accelerate effortsIdentify and advance opportunities for labor efficiency through leveraging third-parties, industry partners, local/state organizations, college/schools, etc. to build capabilities and scaleProvide coaching and expertise around training methodology and adult learning in order to mentor and develop trainers/leadersPartner with Human Resources and site leadership to identify and advance automation and efficiency opportunities around human capital aligned to long-term organizational objectivesLeadership, Team & CultureDirect the work, development and performance of the Hopewell Hourly Training Leader and Area TrainersDrive consistency in training and expectations across the site and work groups to ensure a learning culture and accountability for outcomesSupport a strong safety awareness culture through appropriate training and development with emphasis on maturing hazard recognition improvements in partnership with HS&E and site leadershipOversee, facilitate, and ensure effective writing and development of qualification requirements for all hourly work groupsProvide leadership for the employee qualification/progression evaluation and testing processesIn partnership with Human Resources oversee the successful execution and coordination of New Hire Orientation TrainingManage the overall site training and development budget as well as any training grant applications and administrationBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Instructional Technology10+ years of experience in Chemical Manufacturing with experience in training/learning curriculum design and development5+ years of experience in a supervisory/leadership roleSix Sigma Greenbelt (or Blackbelt) certification or equivalent experience implementing productivity / continuous improvement projectsAdditional Qualifications:Experience in the management of projects, troubleshooting, team building, financial budgets and overall leadershipWorking knowledge of Process Safety Management, ISO9001 Quality Management, and general OSHA Safety guidelines preferredStrong presentation skills preferredExperience with technical writing preferredExperience in organizational development is strongly preferredThe expected annual base pay for this position is $118,800 - $178,200 We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan.
