Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist

Position Overview Capitol Dental is hiring a part‑time Expanded Practice Hygienist (EPDH) located in various community settings around Salem, OR, working independently with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive oral health services. The role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to serve Medicaid populations in medical clinics and hospitals. Schedule Part-time, traveling position around Salem, OR. Collaborate with medical providers to integrate oral health into primary care. Perform administrative tasks including insurance verification and use of EHR (dental and medical software) along with Word/Excel. Conduct marketing, education, and professional collaboration to raise awareness of oral health at the community level. Provide hygiene services, intra‑oral photos, X‑rays, assessment, preventive treatment. Utilize tele‑health technology to consult with the dentist and receive chart reviews, diagnosis, treatment plans. Prescribe antibiotics when necessary and coordinate restorative care with local providers. Maintain high accountability, organization, and communication skills. Position Qualifications Accredited Hygiene Technical School or College graduate. Current applicable State Dental License (or ability to obtain one by start date). Oregon EPDH license required.
