OverviewMaimonides is looking for a Clinical Risk Manager to join our Risk Management team at Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital. In this role, you'll help implement and enhance our Risk Management Program, partner with clinical departments to identify and investigate areas of potential risk, and keep the hospital in compliance with regulatory standards. This is a great fit for a clinician ready to move from bedside care to patient safety and quality.ResponsibilitiesImplement and enhance the hospital's coordinated Risk Management ProgramEnsure compliance with NYSDOH incident reporting (NYPORTS) and with Joint Commission, NYSDOH, NYCDOH, and FDA standardsReview occurrence reports and cases referred by departments and practitioners for reportability and liability issuesAssist with patient complaints and grievances in partnership with the Patient RepresentativeWork with the Risk/Safety Data Analyst to build reports for QI projectsParticipate in QI and Peer Review activities and meetingsHelp keep the hospital survey-ready for unannounced regulatory visitsDevelop and deliver Risk Management training for staff at all levelsSupport Patient Safety and Just Culture initiativesQualificationsCurrent New York State license as an MD, RN, or PABachelor's degree plus 4 years of clinical experience (high-risk or acute care preferred), or graduation from an accredited nursing program with a current NYS RN license plus 5 years of clinical experience3-5 years of Risk Management experienceStrong written and verbal communication, organizational, and computer skillsAbility to work collaboratively across departments and with outside regulatory agenciesPay RangeUSD $135,000.00 - USD $155,000.00 /Yr.
