Part-Time Assistant Manager

Overview An Assistant Manager at World Market leads a high-performance, customer-focused team in driving sales, profitability, and brand experience. Working with the Store Manager, you will develop and execute daily business priorities while upholding the company’s values and operational standards. Responsibilities Model and lead a customer-first selling culture by driving engagement, customer loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand values. Analyze business trends using reports to problem-solve and take appropriate action. Consistently exemplify and foster World Market’s culture and values. Plan for and execute daily business tasks and duties when no Store Manager is present. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance team through training, recognition, and performance management. Utilize company tools and training resources to educate associates on key business functions. Validate and maintain Loss Prevention policies and procedures, and inventory management initiatives. Support a safe work environment through safety training, awareness, and accountability. Qualifications Proven leadership experience delivering results in a fast-paced retail environment. Effective communication, willingness to receive feedback, and ability to adapt quickly. In-moment coaching to associates and de-escalation of store/customer situations. Planning and prioritizing skills aligned with business needs. Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and sound decision-making. Effective delegation and ability to execute daily priorities efficiently. Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in specialty retail. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical capability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs. Minimum age 21 years. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay range: $22.65-$26.65. Full-time or part-time associates eligible for the 401(k) plan after three months of service. Paid sick leave for all associates.
