Production Planner

As a Production Planner, the primary responsibility will be to coordinate and plan production for our manufacturing facilities. The position will also be responsible for requisitioning raw materials and keeping adequate on-hand stock for production. This position holds a crucial role in ensuring proper levels of inventory are produced to reduce the amount of aged stock.

EDUCATION:

Required: High school diploma Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 2+ years of experience in a position related to inventory management Preferred: 4-8 years of experience in a position related to inventory management, supply chain management, or demand forecasting. POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification Required: Advanced understanding and experience in inventory planning. Experience using inventory management software's and ERP systems. Strong communication and problem solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Preferred: Previous experience with Sage X3. Experience in optimizing inventory levels, reducing carrying costs, and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations. CORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions) optimized batches for the facilities assigned to the Production Planner. with Sales, Operations, and other departments to obtain forecast information related to changes in sales demand, raw material availability, etc. optimal batch sizes for entry into the ERP system. potential customer backorders and instigate corrective measures to avoid late shipments. with setting up inter-site transfers when needed.
