Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery West Allis, WI, United States Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association; ACLS and PALS required upon completion of orientation 1-2 years of nursing experience (Med Surg, ED, Peri‑Op) Experience in a variety of backgrounds such as ED, Med Surg, ICU Responsibilities Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Promote patient safety by implementing risk‑reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. Educate patients and families using teaching methods that meet unique learning needs and support readiness for discharge. Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum. Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance. Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities. Schedule Details / Additional Information Monday through Friday: 05:15 – 13:15 (flexible start and end times based on department needs).
