Industrial Electrician

Job Summary Imerys is seeking an Industrial Electrician to support our manufacturing operations across 40+ countries. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities Comply with all Imerys, MSHA and Equipment Mfg Safety Policies and Procedures. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. Use tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, oscilloscopes, ammeters, test lamps. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes. Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate causes and correct problems. Perform additional duties assigned by management. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Training in vocational schools or related on‑job experience. Associate’s degree in electrical or related field preferred. Technical Competencies Knowledge of mechanical equipment, tools, and maintenance. Understanding of math principles. Familiarity with design techniques and production of technical plans. Experience with telecommunications systems. Knowledge of production and processing principles. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills. Active listening and critical thinking. Monitoring operations and quality‑control analysis. Work Conditions Work in a 100% plant environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, noise, and all weather conditions. Frequent walking, standing, and sitting; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Rotating shifts. Location & Compensation Full‑time, permanent position.
