Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.Position Summary:The Patient Access Representative is a detailed customer service position in a fast-paced atmosphere. This position provides a warm welcome to each patient and family member presenting for service. In addition to customer service functions, the Patient Access Rep is responsible for accurate patient registration which includes; patient identification interviews, verification of patient demographic and insurance information, real time insurance eligibility checks and precise entry of this information into the system.Required Qualifications:Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent, prior equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of diplomaKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent customer service and communications skills, including human relations sensitivity, listening and telephone etiquette skillsAbility to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentialityComputer and accurate keyboarding skillsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Epic experienceADT and Prelude knowledgeOne year experience in healthcareOne year work experience in patient registrationOverall knowledge of third party payors, hospital policies and business office proceduresMedical terminology knowledge desiredType a minimum of 50 WPMBenefits:Lakeview offers a competitive benefits package (for eligible positions) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, a retirement program, time away from work, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, and much more!
