We hire ambitious and dedicated professionals to fill positions at all levels of our organization.***Qualifications:*** 2+ years' experience operating as a construction/bridge welder.* Current and valid certification for 3⁄4” and lower required. AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certification preferred, or the practical field knowledge to obtain certificates.* Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedure.* Must pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening.* Valid drivers license with clean driving record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 7 years.) preferred.**Responsibilities:*** Operate angle grinders and other small tools to prepare parts for welding.* Read and interpret standard welding notations.* Select proper materials, measure and cut to specifications.* Field - Field install welds, including weld pile, bearings, SIP decking and other bridge structural elements.* Shop – Fabricate and repair buckets, blades, trench boxes, vehicle parts, and specialized tools.* Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions.* Coordinate with field and/or shop for required schedule of repairs.* Operator welding truck and maintains the materials, tools and equipment on the truck.**Job Type:** Full-Time, Year-Round**Location:** Richmond, VA Region**Working Hours:** Start time is 6:00 AM.
