Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Ascension St Agnes in Baltimore, MD.Work Schedule: Shift 3, Wednesday and Thursday, 11:15pm to 7:15am; Friday and Saturday, 11:00pm to 11:00amJob Responsibilities:Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating ProceduresMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryAssist with processing of specimens when neededMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degreePreferred Qualifications:ASCP or AMT certificationAdditional Job Standards:In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementAbility to work independently and within a team environmentFamiliarity with laboratory information systemsProficient with computersHigh level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives. This role works in a high volume, production based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science.**Pay Range:– $32.50-$43.00 per hourAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
