They significantly contribute to the nVent warehouse team's success by working safely, accurately and at the defined productivity standards.In addition to picking orders other tasks may be required such as receiving inbound shipments and auditing/packing outbound orders.Key Responsibilities:Complete daily 5S tasks (warehouse organization and cleaning)Complete work adhering to safety policy and meeting productivity ratesFollow defined standard work for each taskContribute to the Continuous Improvement Program by participating on value stream teams or offering suggestions to increase Safety, Quality, On Time Delivery or Cost performance via the formal employee suggestion processRequirements:Strong work ethics and attention to detailCapable of accurately matching visual information on smart phone device with product labelAbility to focus on counting products accurately on every pick so that customers receive what they orderedStrong addition & multiplication skillsAbility to exchange information with co-workers and work as part of a teamAbility to use smart phone device continuously during shiftAbility to repetitively lift 10+ lbs.Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.Ability to be on feet continuously throughout an 8-10 hour shiftAbility to occasionally bend 90 degrees & twist 45 degreesMust be able to operate motorized equipment safelyMust be able to understand and follow verbal & written instructions provided by training lead, department lead & department supervisorAbility to work voluntary / mandatory overtime as business dictatesUnload/load trucks with a forklift.Move materials around building as needed.At nVent, we connect and protect our customers with inventive electrical solutions.
