Facility Description:

Anaerobic digester biogas plant with over 12 million gallons of digester capacity located in Warsaw, North Carolina. The facility processes a variety of agricultural waste feedstocks and upgrades the produced biogas to renewable natural gas for injection into the utility pipeline. Digestate will be dried and hauled from the site and the wastewater will be treated with a membrane bioreactor (MBR) system and discharged from the site. The facility is currently in operation.

Job Description:

The Operations Supervisor leads daily shift activities to ensure safe, efficient anaerobic digestion, gas processing, and feedstock management. Key responsibilities include optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining digester systems, managing staff schedules, ensuring environmental compliance, and preparing operational reports.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervises daily employee activities, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
• Operational Efficiency: Monitors daily operations to ensure workflows are efficient and meet productivity targets
• Compliance Safety: Ensures compliance with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and company policies.
• Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Reporting Communication: Generates performance reports and communicates goals and expectations clearly to staff.
• Resource Management: Manages inventory, equipment, or materials needed for daily operations
• Inspects and tests eye wash stations, fire extinguishers, and other life safety systems including PPE.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Flexibility in working longer hours/overtime or weekend work will be needed.
• Any additional tasks requested by Facility Manager to effectively operate and maintain the facility in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.

 

Job Requirements:

• Must have Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent.
• BS with technical focus or trade school certification (preferred but not required)
• Must possess a valid drivers license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Must have 2 years of supervisory experience

Skills:

• Experience: Prefer 3–5 years of relevant experience, often in a key-holder or lead role.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and train personnel.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and management.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data to make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with company-specific software, inventory systems, and computer software (e.g., MSOffice).
