Now Hiring: Flux Core Welders – 1st & 2nd Shift

Pay: $21–$22/hr on 1st Shift | $21/hr Starting Pay on 2nd Shift + Hire-On Bonuses

We are looking for dependable welders with current flux core welding experience who can read blueprints, follow welding specifications, and produce quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay & Bonus Opportunities

1st Shift

• Pay: $21–$22 per hour, depending on experience

• Eligible for quarterly bonuses based on applicable requirements

• No additional 30-day or 80-day hire-on bonuses

2nd Shift

• Starting pay: $21 per hour

• Pay increases by $4 per hour upon being hired on, bringing the rate to $25 per hour

• $1,500 bonus after 30 days following hire-on

• Additional $1,500 bonus after 80 days following hire-on

• May also qualify for quarterly bonuses based on applicable requirements

Bonuses and pay increases are subject to applicable eligibility requirements and program terms.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform flux core welding, weld preparation, and weld finishing on industrial steel components according to customer drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).

• Weld components in the flat (1G) and horizontal positions as required.

• Select and use appropriate welding wire and filler materials for various steel alloys.

• Set up welding equipment and fixtures and adjust parameters such as amperage and voltage.

• Use conventional measuring instruments to verify dimensions and product quality.

• Inspect welds and complete required process inspections, certifications, and documentation.

• Perform grinding and finishing operations using manual and power tools.

• Conduct basic welding equipment maintenance as needed.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the area supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of current flux core welding experience required.

• Must successfully pass an internal welding test, including a 1G weld test.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and welding instructions.

• Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding parameters, and filler materials.

• Ability to use measuring tools and inspect work for accuracy and quality.

• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as needed.

• Must be able to work safely in an industrial steel manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Frequent exposure to heat, dust, fumes, welding smoke, and loud industrial noise.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

• Must follow safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Metatarsal safety boots may be required depending on the assigned position.

• Successful candidates must complete a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history review.
