Leasing Associate (Hybrid)

Position Overview Leasing Associate (Hybrid) – Full time – San Antonio, TX 78251. Responsibilities Administer all duties related to property tours, including virtual and self‑guided tours, and provide stellar customer service. Engage and educate prospective customers about AvalonBay, answering questions using digital resources and other tools. Respond promptly to pre‑tour, during‑tour, and post‑tour assistance needs. Handle inbound and outbound calls during scheduled shifts across various channels (telephone, email, Zoom, SMS, chat). Conduct virtual tours with audio and video capabilities. Present and educate prospects on pricing, availability, layout, amenities, design, and community features. Cross‑sell prospects to other AvalonBay communities that meet their needs. Address and resolve customer service concerns. Accurately complete touring‑related tasks and emails, ensuring all data is entered into the appropriate information systems in a timely manner. Maintain all documentation in accordance with AvalonBay policy and procedure. Work collaboratively with team members and on‑site staff. Participate in coaching, training, and personal development while visible on camera. Qualifications Customer service knowledge and ability to deliver exceptional customer experience. Sales skills and proven ability to meet leasing/sales targets. Excellent listening skills and ability to quickly build rapport with prospective residents. Knowledge of multiple AvalonBay communities, including pricing, inventory, and neighborhood information. Understanding of the Customer Experience Vision for each brand and the competitive differentiators. Clear verbal and written communication skills in English. Basic arithmetic skills for calculating averages and percentages. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Exceptional attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Technical Requirements Position requires evening and weekend availability. Hardwired desktop to internet router; Wi‑Fi is prohibited. Minimum internet speed of 25Mbps down and up. Dedicated workspace for the desktop and a minimum of two monitors set up at the associate’s cost, unless otherwise required by law. Workspace must be secure, safe, quiet, and ergonomically sound. Associate responsible for maintaining adequate business tools to perform the job; the job may not be performed or moved to another workspace without manager and HR approval. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. At least one year of experience in multifamily or related property management preferred.
