At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. ​Job OverviewOverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing initiatives across multiple commodities, including machinery, applicators, and high-volume components.This role will play a key part in:Supplier strategyCost optimizationLead time reductionSourcing executionThe ideal candidate will have strong experience in supplier management, cost analysis, and procurement/planning processes within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sourcing strategies by commodity (machining, assembly, electronics, tooling, etc.)Lead RFQs, negotiations, and supplier selectionAnalyze cost breakdowns (material, labor, overhead, logistics)Identify and implement cost reduction opportunitiesDrive lead time reduction initiatives and supply continuityManage and optimize supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost)Support dual sourcing and supplier consolidation strategiesEnsure compliance with procurement policies and agreementsWork cross-functionally with:Supply Chain (Materials Planning)EngineeringOperationsQualityJob RequirementsEstablishing and executing mid-term and long-term sourcing strategies for assigned categories.Leading supplier negotiations and contract development in alignment with business objectives.Managing supplier relationships to ensure achievement of cost, delivery, and performance commitments.Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to leverage global spend and optimize supplier footprints.Identifying innovation, design-to-cost, and early supplier involvement opportunities.Researching market, technology, and industry trends to inform sourcing strategies.What your background should look likeRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain, Engineering, Business / Finance3–7 years of experience in Strategic sourcing, Procurement, Supplier managementTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of:Machining / metal fabrication / assembly processesIndustrial supply chainsAdvanced Excel skills (analysis, modeling, cost comparisonsAbility to interpret: drawings, BOMs, technical specificationsExperience with SAP (MM module preferred): Info Records and Source ListsPurchase OrdersSoft skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving mindsetExcellent negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple suppliers and prioritiesStrong communication (internal & external stakeholders)Results-driven and detail-orientedPreferred Qualifications (Nice to have)Experience with: Tooling / applicators / machinery sourcing, Data connectivity / electronics componentsUnderstanding of tariffs and trade impacts, should-cost modelingCompetenciesABOUT TE CONNECTIVITYTE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
