Informatica Platform Support Engineer

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Informatica Platform Support Engineer for a top financial services client. This individual will join a highly collaborative enterprise data platform team consisting of resources across both the U.S. and India. The ideal candidate will bring strong Informatica administration and production support expertise, with hands-on experience supporting PowerCenter, Cloud Data Integration (CDI), and IDMC environments. This role will focus on platform stability, deployment support, incident management, performance optimization, and enterprise troubleshooting across complex data integration environments. Candidates with prior banking experience, particularly within large-scale financial institutions, will stand out. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical enterprise data platforms while expanding into technologies such as DataStage and modern cloud-based data integration solutions. Day-to-Day:

• Support and maintain the enterprise Informatica platform
• Monitor platform health and analyze DIS, Agent Core, and Audit logs
• Troubleshoot ETL/ELT workflow failures and performance issues
• Manage deployments, migrations, and platform upgrades within IDMC
• Perform job failure analysis and implement performance tuning improvements
• Partner with development teams to resolve production issues
• Coordinate with DBA, Unix, Network, and Storage teams for issue resolution
• Participate in incident response, escalation management, and RCA documentation
• Support AutoSys scheduling processes and workflow monitoring
• Participate in on-call support rotation approximately once per month
• Cross-train on DataStage platform technologies

• 5+ years of experience supporting Informatica platforms
• Strong Informatica PowerCenter and/or Cloud Data Integration (CDI) experience
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and performance tuning
• Experience with IDMC deployment and migration processes
• Monitoring and troubleshooting Informatica platform health and logs
• Data warehouse experience with Oracle, Teradata, and/or SQL Server
• Unix/Linux fundamentals including commands, file management, vi editor, and basic scripting
• Experience working with databases, files, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Snowflake), and on-prem environments
• AutoSys scheduling experience
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support background
• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and job failure analysis
• Ability to collaborate with DBA, Unix, Network, and Storage teams
• Banking/Financial Services experience • Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) expertise
• DataStage experience or willingness to cross-train
• Splunk experience
• Dynatrace experience
