Role Description The Purchase Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Stephenville, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including preparing and processing purchase orders, tracking delivery timelines, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The Purchase Specialist will evaluate supplier quotations, support vendor selection, and monitor performance to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials and services. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with internal teams to understand material requirements, resolving order discrepancies, and optimizing purchasing processes for steel joist and metal deck products. The role also involves using analytical skills to review purchasing data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to purchasing strategies and inventory control. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Purchasing Processes and Purchasing practices, with the ability to follow and improve standardized procurement workflows. Experience in Purchase Management and handling Purchase Orders, including vendor communication and order tracking. Demonstrated proficiency in Purchasing-related documentation and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Solid Analytical Skills to evaluate pricing, supplier performance, and purchasing data for informed decision-making. Relevant experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial supply environments is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, collaborating on-site in Stephenville, TX, and remotely as needed. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple purchasing requests concurrently. Proficiency with office productivity and ERP or procurement software; experience with spreadsheet analysis is an advantage.
