Job Summary

Artemis is seeking a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio and demonstrated experience developing a wide range of visually engaging communications products for federal clients. The Graphic Designer translates complex, technical, or sensitive information into clear, accessible, brand-consistent visual content - including infographics, presentations, publications, brochures, fact sheets, social media graphics, digital signage, and other outreach materials - for print, digital, web, and social media channels.

The Graphic Designer role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in graphic design, visual communications, or creative production, ideally within a federal, healthcare, or military environment. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

Work is performed remotely. However, some travel for client engagements may be required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and produce a wide range of visual communications products - including infographics, presentations, publications, brochures, fact sheets, posters, social media graphics, digital signage, and other outreach materials - for print, digital, web, and social media channels.
• Translate complex, technical, or sensitive information into clear, visually appealing content that is easy for diverse audiences to understand and use.
• Apply Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent industry-standard software to develop, refine, and produce visual designs.
• Collaborate with communications, program, and technical staff to gather requirements, take creative direction, and translate key messages into finished design products.
• Maintain visual and brand consistency across all deliverables, following client branding guidelines and style standards.
• Ensure all designed products meet Section 508 accessibility requirements, and remediate compliance issues as needed.
• Plan, generate, and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership, while managing multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders to revise and finalize design deliverables within established timelines.
• Support additional creative and visually related duties as assigned, which may include event and exhibit materials, video or motion graphics, and photo/digital asset library management.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4 years of professional graphic design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
• Portfolio of work samples required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud/Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent industry-standard design software.
• Understanding of Section 508 accessibility guidelines and standards.
• Demonstrated experience translating complex information into clear, visually engaging content for a variety of audiences.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• Experience supporting complex projects within the federal government.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance (or higher clearance level, as required by the specific contract).
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
