Job Title: Operations Support Specialist FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Employee Status: Full-Time Summary We are looking for an Operations Support Specialist to assist across a variety of organizational areas, including operations, human resources, and security. The successful candidate will be a multitasker who easily transitions between priorities. Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a team-first willingness to perform a variety of daily activities will be key to supporting our day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities Operations: Provide administrative support to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and the Operations Coordinator Help to maintain office supplies, schedule meetings, and coordinate events Assist with travel coordination, including communication, approvals, and reimbursements Support the processing of visit access requests for NVRC employees traveling to external work sites Perform other operations tasks as needed Human Resources: Provide assistance to the HR Manager by helping with the recruiting cycle including drafting and editing job descriptions, posting open roles, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews Support new employees throughout the recruitment and onboarding process by initiating background checks and communicating status updates to them as the process progresses Welcome new hires and assist with ordering NVRC gear Facilitate communication with involved NVRC team members regarding current onboarding status of new employees Maintain employee data in personnel files and HRIS (certifications, education, years of experience, etc.) Promote employee engagement initiatives such as birthday and anniversary recognition Perform other human resources tasks as needed Security: Collaborate with the FSO and AFSO to assist with tracking training completion status Perform other security tasks as needed Required Minimum Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to professionally interface with fellow employees, teammates, customers, and visitors Required Education, Certifications, and Length of Experience HS Diploma required, Associate’s degree or higher in business or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in office management or related relevant role, highly preferred (Experience in a government contracting environment is a plus.) Travel Requirements No travel is required for this position. Due to our contracts with the U.S. federal government and the requirement for a security clearance to perform this role, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens. Clearance Type Required Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance, existing clearance highly preferred.
