Shift:- Flexible as required by the Program, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
- Performs HIV/Syphilis testing using phlebotomy, rapid testing, and urine-based technology in non-clinical and clinical settings.
- Performs STI/HIV pre and post-test counseling in non-clinical and in clinic locations.
- Provides STI/HIV and AIDS education in non-clinical and clinical settings.
- Performs public health community-based outreach to provide STI, HIV and AIDS health education and screening activities.
- Distribute condoms, STD and HIV educational material and provide counseling in non-clinical and clinical settings.
- Conducts STI HIV/AIDS presentations in the community i.e. health fairs, and community health screening event.
- Ensure that all documentation collected during outreach events is transported and secured in a confidential and secure manner consistent with departmental policy and privacy regulations.
- Accurately enter all demographic information and test results into the required electronic databases (EPIC, and Cognito) within twenty-four (24) hours following an outreach event.
- Conduct client counseling and disease intervention interviews professionally and using culturally appropriate communication.
- Must maintain consistently maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a clear understanding of HIPPA regulations.
- Must have and maintain a valid Maryland driver's license.
