Director Of Manufacturing OperationsThe Director of Manufacturing Operations reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with other functional leaders in the company, including those in operations, engineering, finance, sales, and marketing. The Director of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for the overall management and optimization of production, suppliers (including EMS contract manufacturers), supply chain, maintenance, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing assets, along with development and improvement activities, to ensure the continuous flow of high-quality product from Maxtena to its customers.The position is based in Germantown, MD.Your work at Maxtena will include:Overseeing and managing vendor and supplier relationshipsNegotiating equipment purchase, maintenance, and layoutSupply chain managementMonitor and evaluate workflow and assembly methodsOversee process planning, implementation, and improvementsEnsure manufacturing performance, quality, and safety goals are metERP, MRP, and machine controller system managementDevelop and manage manufacturing budgets, CAPEX spending, and schedules and P&LGross margin improvement through annually planned COGS reductionOn-time delivery of productsExpanding existing supply chain and multi-vendor sourcingCustomer service indicatorSuccessful establishment and development of manufacturing process and teamsMeeting production capacity and capacity ramp-up goalsLow level of production errors and wasteWork with cross-functional teams on product launches and deliveryPerform other duties as requestedRequirements:Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance3-5+ years of Operations ManagementProven leadership and management experienceExtensive manufacturing experience in the Satellite, Telecommunications, Automotive, or similar highly regulated industryBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceSuperior knowledge of lean, Six Sigma tools, and problem-solving methodologyExtensive manufacturing and/or R&O experience in a fast-paced environmentAftermarket experienceAbility to manage complex teamsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsQuick response and proactive mindset to drive resultsAble to develop strong networks and build relationshipsPerks of working at Maxtena:Developing innovative, meaningful products from scratchA dynamic, innovative, and productive workplaceCutting-edge technology & high-tech labContinuous career growth opportunitiesCompetitive compensation packageMedical, Dental, Vision & Life InsuranceTuition ReimbursementPaid Parental Leave401K matchFlextimeFun & games eventsCoffee, sweets, & much more...Maxtena is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
