About the Role
Astra Backflow is looking for a dependable, adaptable, and customer-focused Branch Support & Sales Associate to join our South Carolina team.
This position is designed to be a cross-functional support role for our South Carolina branch. You will work alongside our Regional/Territory Coordinator and provide additional coverage wherever the business needs it most.
There is no single department this position will be limited to. On any given day, you may help answer customer calls, process an order, prepare a shipment, receive inventory, follow up with customers, make outbound sales calls, assist with a training class, or provide coverage when another team member is unavailable.
The ideal person is someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is willing to step in and help keep things moving.

Key Responsibilities
Branch & Operational Support

• Provide day-to-day support to the Regional/Territory Coordinator
• Serve as additional coverage across the South Carolina branch as needed
• Assist with shipping and receiving
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders
• Receive and organize incoming inventory
• Help maintain an organized and efficient branch
• Provide coverage for team members during absences, high-volume periods, training days, or other operational needs
• Assist other departments with projects and responsibilities as assigned

Customer Service & Inside Sales

• Answer incoming customer calls and emails
• Assist customers with product questions, availability, pricing, and orders
• Enter and process customer orders
• Follow up on quotes and customer requests
• Help ensure customers receive timely communication and service
• Identify sales opportunities during customer interactions
• Provide phone and customer coverage when other team members are unavailable

Sales Outreach

• Make outbound calls to existing and prospective customers
• Follow up with customers who have not ordered recently
• Assist with prospecting and new-account outreach
• Support company-wide sales campaigns and initiatives
• Help develop relationships with contractors, testers, municipalities, plumbing companies, and other potential customers
• Assist the Regional/Territory Coordinator and sales team with local territory-development efforts

Training & Events

• Help prepare for training classes and events
• Assist with student check-in, materials, classroom preparation, and general event support
• Communicate with prospective and previous students about upcoming classes
• Follow up with past attendees regarding future training opportunities
• Assist with product sales and customer engagement during training days
• Help return the branch to normal operations following classes and events

Experience in customer service, inside sales, distribution, warehouse operations, plumbing, construction, or a related industry is helpful but not required.

Compensation
Base Salary: $45,000 annually
Additional Compensation: Commission based on qualifying sales activity
This position offers the stability of a full-time salary with additional earning potential for contributing to sales and customer growth.

Position Structure
This is a support position and is not responsible for managing the South Carolina territory.
The Branch Support & Sales Associate will work closely with and support the Regional/Territory Coordinator , while also providing assistance to Astra's Sales, Customer Support, Shipping & Receiving, Training, Purchasing, and Operations teams as needed.
The goal of this position is simple: provide reliable additional capacity wherever it is needed to keep customers taken care of and the branch moving forward.

Schedule & Location
This is a full-time position based at Astra Backflow's Goose Creek, South Carolina location.
Because the role includes shipping, receiving, customer support, branch coverage, and training support, regular in-person attendance is required. Some flexibility may be available based on business needs, outreach activities, and scheduling.
