About the Role As a Senior Program Manager at MiniMed, you will lead and oversee medium‑to‑large scale programs across cross‑functional teams. You will drive the development and lifecycle management of products and processes, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. Responsibilities Leads or leverages cross‑functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Manages the development and implementation process of company products and services involving departmental or cross‑functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders. Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve business problems. Program Management Career Stream Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Their responsibilities typically include overseeing program objectives, managing program/team performance, communicating operational developments, planning, prioritizing, and directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is usually accomplished through the performance of the program team members. Differentiating Factors Autonomy : Manages one or more medium‑scale programs with generally‑defined plans and delivery methodologies. Is accountable for overall program process, performance, and customer satisfaction. Organizational Impact : Participates in establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets. Develops new policies and procedures that affect program management. Typically has budget accountability for one or more programs. Program decisions are generally recommended to higher‑level management. Innovation and Complexity : Faces difficult and undefined problems that require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand the issue. Problems typically impact multiple workstreams, departments, or specialties. Enhances program management processes to improve program delivery. Communication and Influence : Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher‑level management. Influences across functions and businesses while balancing divergent objectives to gain cooperation of other parties on program objectives and execution plans. Leadership and Talent Management : Leads, directs, and reviews the work of a team of managers, experienced professionals, and/or vendors who exercise latitude and independence. Establishes daily tasks necessary for successful program execution. Not directly responsible for hire or fire decisions and people management. Expected Travel Up to 20%. Must Have Bachelor’s Degree 7+ years of relevant experience Nice to Have Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience Engineering related degree strongly preferred PMP Certification Excellent communication skills MS Office, project scheduling tools Experience driving results through others in a matrixed or team‑based environment Experience managing complex projects Physical Job Requirements Generally described in the responsibilities. Salary ranges for U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) locations: $164,000.00 – $278,000.00. For certain locations (California, Seattle, Washington DC, Boston, New York City): $181,000 – $309,000 USD. Compensation and benefits information applies to candidates hired within the United States. This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
