TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Fort Smith, Arkansas, 72903!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: All licensed staff providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency test before assuming medication administration responsibilities. This exam will evaluate knowledge of commonly used drugs and their effects, along with mathematical calculations regarding correct dosages and IV problems. A passing grade of 90% is required, and this exam may be retaken once. Failure to pass the retake may result in termination of employment. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit. The role involves caring for a mixed unit with medical, neuro, and cardiovascular surgery patients. The unit typically has 38 beds with patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1. Candidates should have experience with CRRT, vents, and hemodynamics. Floating between Med Surg and Stepdown units is required. The ideal candidate is team-oriented and possesses a compassionate demeanor. Dress code requires black scrubs; hoodies are not acceptable attire. Candidates with CCRN or SCRN certifications, as well as experience in open heart recovery or CRRT, are preferred.
