Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility in Galena, IL is seeking a dedicated Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support their expanding pharmacy operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient medication dispensing and patient education within the pharmacy setting. The opportunity begins with the first scheduled shift on Friday, November 13th.

Schedule:

• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patients with clear support and education regarding their medications to promote safety and adherence.
• Assist in managing pharmacy operations, including oversight of staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians where applicable.
• Identify and address knowledge gaps among team members through ongoing education and training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote best practices for patient safety and professional pharmacy practice.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but all levels of experience will be considered.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients and collaborate with pharmacy staff.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant pharmacy environment.
