Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Therapist Registered Wausau, Wisconsin. This 13-week assignment supports respiratory care across patient care areas, including emergency and general care settings. The role provides emergency services, respiratory assessments, critical care, ventilator management, and care for patients of all age groups.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within one year if applicable
  • Active Wisconsin license
  • Associate degree or certificate
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Pediatric experience required
  • Previous travel experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred; neonatal intensive care unit experience preferred for night-shift positions.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, patient assessment using assess-and-treat protocols, and emergency response for rapid response and code blue events. Equipment and systems include V60 bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP), Hamilton G5 and C1 ventilators, i-STAT, and electronic clinical documentation.
