Position Overview

We are looking for a highly organized, driven, and communication-heavy leader to help manage the day-to-day operations of our mobile detailing team.

This is not a traditional office management position. You will spend approximately 20 hours per week in the field working on the truck and completing detailing jobs alongside the team , while the remainder of your time will be focused on leadership, scheduling, customer service, hiring, training, inventory, and overall operational execution.

The goal of this position is to develop someone who understands every part of the operation firsthand and can eventually take greater ownership over the team, customers, operations, and potentially sales.

Communication is one of the most important parts of this role. You will constantly communicate with technicians, customers, ownership, applicants, new hires, and other team members. We need someone who communicates quickly, clearly, professionally, and consistently.

Core Responsibilities

Field Work — Approximately 20 Hours Per Week

Work alongside technicians completing customer jobs and maintaining a firsthand understanding of our service standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing mobile detailing services
• Helping technicians complete jobs efficiently
• Maintaining company quality standards
• Identifying opportunities for appropriate upgrades and additional services
• Coaching technicians in real-world situations
• Understanding the challenges technicians experience in the field
• Helping solve operational issues as they arise

This role is expected to lead from the front , not simply manage the team from an office.

Team Leadership & Communication

Lead regular team meetings and maintain consistent communication throughout the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading team meetings
• Communicating company updates, expectations, and changes
• Holding technicians accountable to company standards
• Providing feedback and coaching
• Addressing problems before they become larger issues
• Keeping ownership informed on team performance and operational issues
• Maintaining strong communication between management and technicians

You should be comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary while still maintaining a positive and productive team environment.

Training & Upsell Development

Continuously develop the team's technical and sales abilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Training technicians on new services, procedures, and company updates
• Teaching technicians how to identify upsell opportunities
• Training technicians on how to confidently recommend additional services
• Improving recurring maintenance-plan sales
• Role-playing customer conversations and objection handling
• Tracking areas where technicians need additional coaching
• Reinforcing quality, efficiency, customer service, and sales expectations

Routing & Scheduling

Help ensure every technician's day runs as efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and adjusting daily technician schedules
• Routing technicians efficiently between appointments
• Managing scheduling changes, cancellations, and delays
• Communicating schedule updates to technicians
• Coordinating with customers when appointments need to move
• Maximizing technician productivity while maintaining a good customer experience
• Troubleshooting scheduling problems throughout the day

Customer Service

Take ownership of customer communication when situations require management involvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Handling customer questions and concerns
• Resolving service issues professionally
• Following up on customer complaints
• Coordinating corrections or return visits when appropriate
• Communicating delays or scheduling changes
• Protecting the company's reputation and customer relationships
• Identifying recurring customer-service problems and helping prevent them

The expectation is not simply to make problems disappear—it is to solve the underlying issue whenever possible.

Hiring & Training

Help build and maintain a high-performing team.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing applicants
• Interviewing potential technicians
• Helping select qualified candidates
• Coordinating onboarding
• Training new employees
• Teaching company procedures and expectations
• Evaluating new hires during their training period
• Identifying employees who need additional coaching
• Helping develop technicians into higher-level positions

You will play an important role in maintaining the quality of the people we bring into the company.

Office, Equipment & Inventory Management

Maintain an organized and properly stocked operation.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring chemical and supply inventory
• Restocking products before shortages occur
• Keeping the office and storage areas organized
• Making sure trucks have the supplies and equipment needed for upcoming jobs
• Reporting damaged or missing equipment
• Helping coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs
• Maintaining a clean, professional working environment

Communication Expectations

This position requires an unusually high level of communication.

A successful person in this role:

• Responds quickly
• Does not disappear when there is a problem
• Communicates problems early rather than waiting until they become emergencies
• Confirms that important instructions were received and understood
• Keeps technicians informed
• Keeps customers informed
• Keeps ownership informed
• Documents important information when necessary
• Is comfortable communicating by phone, text, group chat, and in person

If you prefer working independently with limited communication, this will not be the right position.

We are looking for someone who naturally keeps people updated and understands that overcommunication is better than allowing important information to fall through the cracks.

• Technicians know exactly where they need to be and what is expected of them
• Customers receive fast and professional communication
• Jobs are completed efficiently and at a high standard
• Upsells and recurring services are consistently presented
• New technicians are trained correctly

• Trucks and supplies remain organized and stocked
• Ownership does not need to constantly step into day-to-day operational problems
