Vassar Brothers Medical Center, a 350-bed facility overlooking the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, NY, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join its renowned team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Patient Pavilion with 13 surgical suites and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. The successful candidate will contribute to a medical center recognized for its high-performing cardiac and cancer programs. Practice Info Vassar Brothers Medical Center (VBMC) is a 350-bed facility. A recent addition to the VBMC campus is the distinctively shaped Patient Pavilion featuring 294 private patient rooms, a 30-room intensive care unit, a network of 13 surgical suites, and 66 exam and treatment rooms in the emergency and trauma center. VBMC is part of Nuvance HealthTM. This regional medical center is home to the area's first cardiothoracic surgery program located between Westchester County and Albany, NY. It also has the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit in the region. Responsibilities Case assignments: Endo, general, labor and delivery, radiology, ortho, electrophysiology, GYN, vascular, neuro, URO, cardiac, thoracic, ENT, and plastics Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $600,000 Sign-on Incentives: $100,000 Sign-on Incentives (Bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment): $100,000 Benefits Generous paid time off Comprehensive benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts 401(k) Profit sharing Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities Training Assistance and Loan Repayment Programs available Requirements M.D./D.O.
