St. Joseph's South Hospital is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services in an acute care setting. We are a full-service hospital offering outpatient services, intensive care, a 24-bed maternity unit, imaging, lab, surgical services, and more, in a relaxing, family-centered environment.

Acute Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve strength, balance, and functional mobility.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe movement techniques, home exercise programs, and discharge planning.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient-centered care plans.

Certifications and Licensures :

• Required BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required PT (Physical Therapy)
• Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain
• Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months

Location: St Josephs South - Riverview, FL

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: (5) 8-hour or (4) 10-hour shifts/Days

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
